Occony, founded in 2018, was born out of the urgency to address the accelerating degradation of nature, wildlife, and biodiversity, against a backdrop of wildfires and melting glaciers. This sustainable design startup challenges industry norms, seeking meaningful change in the way we conduct business and design, with an emphasis on ecological and social responsibility. Occony represents a turning point, inspired by the Malaysian dialect, symbolizing the necessity for daily actions to positively approach the climate crisis and sustainably inhabit our planet.
The company is dedicated to creating furniture design that radiates deep care for the earth, utilizing natural materials such as coconut fibers and Dutch wool.
